The Genus ABS segment is engaged in the bovine sales business. Its bovine genetics business sells dairy and beef bull semen and embryos from its superior cattle, which are sold to farmers to breed their cows through artificial insemination. Its porcine genetics business sells genetically superior breeding pigs and semen to farmers, so they can breed commercial pigs with desirable characteristics for pork production.
