Photovoltaics, which consists in solar energy processing into electricity, has become one of the key elements of fighting carbon dioxide emissions. GRUPA KĘTY S.A. has decided to follow that path and invest in PV systems. Such solution helps not only to generate own clean energy but also considerably reduces the company's operating costs.

The first such systems were installed at AK Emmi in Slovenia. Right now work is in progress to install a 500 kW power system on the roof of the new 20/40 hall in Kęty. The project is planned to be completed and commissioned in the first half of 2024. The expected annual carbon footprint reduction is 335 tons of CO2e a year (335 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent a year).
