Final Shipment of Smelting Furnace Equipment Departs

Port of Durban

Gulf Manganese Corporation Limited (ASX: GMC) ("Gulf" or "the Company") is pleased to advise that the second shipment of smelting furnace components has now departed Durban and is expected to arrive in Kupang early July.

The second parcel contains the final components of Gulf's first two smelting furnaces - namely the smelter shells and tilting mechanisms.

As previously advised (see ASX release dated 17 May 2018), the second parcel will also be shipped to Singapore before travelling to Surabaya to be consolidated with the first parcel which departed Durban 16th May. The first parcel comprises 9 containers and 4 flat racks and is scheduled to arrive in Surabaya from Singapore on the 14th June.

The shipment is being managed by Durban-based Themba Dry Cargo.

Kupang Smelting Hub Project Overview

Gulf is focused on developing a ferromanganese smelting business in West Timor, Indonesia to produce and sell low carbon ferromanganese alloy.

The Kupang Smelting Hub facility will contain at least eight furnaces built in stages over five years, targeting the production of a premium quality 78%+ manganese alloy. At full production, Gulf will aim to purchase and process 320,000 tonnes of manganese ore per annum, producing circa 155,000 tonnes of premium quality ferromanganese alloy.
