Research Cottrell Cooling (RCC), Hamon subsidiary active in cooling systems in North America, has successfully completed the erection of a 34 cell Mechanical Draft Cooling Tower at a multi-billion dollar plastics manufacturing facility in Gregory, Texas.

RCC was contracted for the design, supply and construction of a 34 cell cooling tower to provide means of cooling the facility's Olefins, Monoethylene Glycol, and Polyethylene units. RCC's design was based on a flow rate of 550,000 GPM, with a Design Hot Water Inlet Temperature of 111.3F and a Design Cold Water Temperature of 90.0F. Upon receiving the project award the second half of 2018, RCC's engineering and procurement teams worked diligently for over a year leading up to site mobilization of RCC's construction team. Site construction spanned 14 consecutive calendar months, working more than 60,000 direct craft hours, with zero recordable safety incidents, ultimately providing an on time and under budget delivery.
