'The boardroom was very well received' - feedback from BAM Construction

Emphasising the heritage and values of a distinctive construction brand.

Havelock has worked extensively with BAM Construction on a number of new public sector buildings. Based on those credentials, Havelock was invited to design and deliver a refurbished boardroom for BAM Construction's office in Edinburgh.

BAM's brief to Havelock was to design a boardroom that visually personified the essence and identity of its corporate brand. In particular, BAM wanted to emphasise the strength of the company's local heritage, while demonstrating the values of the brand as it is today: creating buildings that improve the experiences of the people who use it.

One of the ways in which Havelock achieved this was to create a bespoke boardroom table design that incorporates the BAM logo etched into the solid surface - an innovative and specialised process carried out in Havelock's factory. The style and colours of the seating and soft furnishings were chosen to correspond to the brand's colour palette.

To promote the heritage to both employees and visitors, Havelock designed a company timeline - which has its roots in the 1960s. This complements the company values displayed on graphic panels on the boardroom walls, emphasising the essence of BAM today.

The boardroom is a complete transformation and BAM Construction is very pleased with the outcome.
