New Production Facility at Toyama Works

Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc. (President and Executive Officer: Manabu Shinomoto) will be establishing a new production facility at its Toyama Works site (2-1 Yasuuchi, Yatsuo, Toyama, Toyama Prefecture). Toyama Works handles the development and production of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, the main product produced by Hitachi Kokusai Electric's Eco and Thin-Film Processing segment. The new facility is expected to increase Hitachi Kokusai Electric's development capability.

Construction of the new production facility is scheduled to start in December 2015, with operation scheduled to start in January 2017. A ceremony to pray for the safety of construction will be held on December 1, 2015.
