EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

2Q23 Financial Highlights:

• Quarterly revenue of NT$1.14 billion with a gross margin of 41.4%, up from 40.8% last quarter.
• Quarterly operating loss of NT$1.11 billion with an operating margin of -96.9%.
• Quarterly net loss attributable to owners of the parent was NT$0.90 billion, or an EPS of -NT$1.08.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

2Q23 Business Update:

• HTC launched HTC U23 Pro, the first HTC smartphone with a 108 MP main camera, along with HTC U23. The HTC U23 series bring consumers brand new entertaining experience and show the endless possibilities of Apps with the freshly upgraded VIVERSE App, seamlessly merging the virtual and physical realms.
• HTC attended 2023 International Public TV Conference in Taipei and featured VIVE products jointly with Public Television Service Taiwan. HTC demonstrated the 5K high-resolution VIVE Pro 2 and the compact and powerful VIVE XR Elite, showing Taiwan's leading position in the VR industry and the value of VR in education, medical and training services created by HTC.
• HTC participated in COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2023 with Supermicro and MSI respectively and demonstrated virtual production suite VIVE Mars CamTrack and the brand new portable 5G private network solution REIGN CORE S2 by G REIGNS, showing HTC's outstanding technique in virtual production and 5G commercial fields.

2Q23 Business Update:

• VIVE Arts partnered with VR/AR content brand Excurio and launched The Horizon of Khufu-ImmersiveExpedition, the world's first immersive virtual reality project based on the recreation of the interior and surroundings of the Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt. It took three years for Excurio and the Giza Project team of Harvard University to work together to realize the project with the technology of VIVE tracking solution and Location-Based Entertainment.
• HTC won the silver medal in sustainability from the world's most trusted business sustainability ratings EcoVadis for the second consecutive year, placing HTC higher than 82% of over 100,000 evaluated companies around the world. This reflects HTC's concern over climate change and social inequality, and its committing to reducing environmental impacts and emphasizing social responsibility.
