I.Ceram, specialized in innovative orthopedic implants and ceramic implants, hastens its R&D thanks to an agreement with CSPBAT lab from Paris 13 University.

The development agreement with the research laboratory of « Biomatériaux pour la Santé - Chimie, Structures, Propriétés de Biomatériaux et d'Agents Thérapeutiques (LBSP-CSPBAT) », is intended to develop, in addition to the loading technic elaborated by I.Ceram teams, a biopolymers grafting on CERAMIL porous ceramic surface. These polymers could significantly increase bone formation in ceramic pores.

First results are waited by the end of 2017. Eric Denes, scientific director says 'we are glad of this partnership with the renowned Paris 13 University. Team from the 'Biomaterial for Health' of CSPBAT, headed by Pr Véronique Migonney, is internationally known for its works on polymer grafting on different materials. I'm convinced that these experimentations will result in a new generation of orthopedic implants with great properties. That's the reason why we wanted to have this partnership in order to speed-up our R&D'.

Pr. Migonney also appreciates this collaboration and says 'We look forward to start this new collaboration with I.Ceram. Our philosophy is to develop partnerships with SME and big companies to create innovative technologies. It's critical for medical progress, cares quality and patients safety'.

With this new collaboration, I.Ceram pursues its development in bone implants, according to its strategy to market more and more innovative orthopedic implants.
