IMC has completed the sowing of spring crops

Last week, IMC completed the spring sowing campaign of 2021. Sunflower was sown on the area of 25.8 thousand hectares and corn was sown on the area of 68.5 thousand hectares.

"This year's sowing of spring crops had to be carried out in a very short time, because its start was actually postponed by ten days compared to previous years, due to low temperatures and heavy rainfalls, resulting in unprepared soil condition for sowing. However, thanks to the coordinated work of the entire production and management team, as well as the improvement of technology (strengthening the fleet of high-speed seeders, reducing and differentiating sowing rates, etc.), we managed to complete sowing in close to optimal time. And getting friendly seedlings and the current condition of crops, as well as rainy weather conditions allow us to look with optimism at the end of the season and already begin active preparation for the harvesting campaign", - commented IMC's Chief Operating Officer Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi.
