Japan Airlines (JAL), a member of the oneworld® alliance of leading airlines, has been named 'Best Trans-Pacific Airline' and 'Best Airline to Japan' by readers of Global Traveler, the monthly and AAM-audited magazine written exclusively for frequent, luxury business and leisure travelers, in the publication's 14th Annual GT Tested Reader Survey Awards. This is JAL's first win by this elite group of travelers as 'Best Trans-Pacific Airline,' and a first for a Japanese airline to win the award. Global Traveler conducted its 2017 GT Tested Reader Survey during the months of January-August 2017, asking frequent business and luxury travelers to name the best in a variety of travel-related categories, with more than 20,000 people responding to the survey.

'The readers of Global Traveler are a discerning bunch - frequent travelers who truly know the best of travel. Japan Airlines' wins in our survey are a true testament to the airline's excellent service, product and experience offered from booking to onboard the aircraft. I congratulate JAL on the well-deserved recognition' said Francis X. Gallagher, CEO/Publisher of Global Traveler Magazine.

By catering to the strengths of its network between North America and Asia, JAL aims to become one of the most preferred airlines in the world.

In related news, oneworld® was named the Best Airline Alliance for the eighth time running in the GT Tested Reader Survey, confirming its standing as the world`s most highly prized global airline alliance.
