John Menzies plc announced the appointment of Dr. Dermot F Smurfit as Independent Chairman of the Group. His appointment will be effective from the next meeting of the Board on 25 July 2016. Dr. Smurfit brings a wealth of experience to the Board. He is currently Chairman of Powerflute Plc and ML Capital and is a non-executive director of Timber Capital and The Forest Company Limited.
