The Board of Directors of the JPMorgan China Region Fund, Inc. (NYSE: JFC; the ‘Fund’) announces that the Annual Meeting of Stockholders of the Fund will be held at the offices of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, 270 Park Avenue, New York, New York 10017, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., and at any adjournments or postponements thereof, for the following purposes:

(1) to elect one (1) Director of the Fund, to hold office for the term indicated and until his successor shall have been elected and qualified; and
(2) to consider and vote on a proposal to liquidate and dissolve the Fund pursuant to a Plan of Liquidation and Dissolution; and
(3) to consider and act upon such other business as may properly come before the Meeting or any adjournments or postponements thereof.

March 24, 2017 was fixed by the Board of Directors as the record date for determination of stockholders entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the Meeting or any adjournments or postponements thereof.

The Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company whose shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange. The Fund trades under the symbol “JFC.”

The Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investments primarily in equity securities of companies with substantial assets in, or revenues derived from, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau--collectively, the China Region.
