Kazakhstan Potash Corporation Limited (ASX:KPC) entered into an agreement to acquire 60% stake in Research License 14068 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (PE14068) for $2.5 million on March 26, 2018. As reported, KPC will pay $1 million and issue 100 million fully paid ordinary shares as consideration. Additionally, KPC will be responsible for all exploration activities and expenses related to PE1068 and will be entitled to appoint two nominee Directors to the Board of company holding the license and the financial controller of company holding the license will be appointed by KPC. As on March 26, 2018, KPC has issued 100 million shares as part of consideration for the acquisition. As of February 21, 2019, the terms of the exit are being finalized and will be announced to the market in due course. Kazakhstan Potash Corporation Limited (ASX:KPC) cancelled the acquisition of 60% stake in Research License 14068 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (PE14068) on April 5, 2019. Following cancellation, KPC cease all activity in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the cancellation of 82 million KPC shares, paid as part consideration to the MCC vendor by KPC. The share cancellation will be subject to KPC shareholder approval.
