Kazakhstan Potash Corporation Limited (ASX:KPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire 51% stake in Kikata North and Mifumbi Copper-Cobalt Projects in Democratic Republic of Congo from La Société Katanga Copperbelt Mining SA for AUD 7.6 million on June 8, 2018. Under the terms, Kazakhstan Potash will acquire 51% in Permits de Recherche PR757, PR760 and PR761 in exchange of AUD 1 million by July 31, 2018, issuance of 50 million new ordinary shares of Kazakhstan Potash and an issuance of Convertible Notes to the value of AUD 5 million for a 12 month period. The completion is subject to KPC finalizing its technical diligence review to its satisfaction with 30 days after receiving all information from Katanga Copperbelt and upon receipt of all necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals of KPC, as required.
