Lammhults Design : acquires the Swedish company Ragnars Inredningar

This press release provides additional information to the previous press release about the purchase price for the acquisition.

Lammhults Design Group is acquiring all the shares in the designer furniture company Ragnars Inredningar, which has its head office and production facilities in Forserum, just east of Jönköping in Sweden. Ragnars had sales of approximately SEK 77 million during 2015/16, with an operating profit of around SEK 9 million. The company has 35 employees.

The purchase price is SEK 50 million, with a possible additional payment of up to 15 million within three years. Lammhults Design Group will also take over Ragnars' net cash position of SEK 10.4 million.

Ragnars was founded in the 1950s and was bought by Gustav Ragnar in 1978. The Ragnar brand was born in 2001. The business now focuses on creating designer office furniture for the public market. The company's main market is Sweden and its major export markets are Norway, Denmark and Germany.


Ragnars will be consolidated as of 1 June 2016 and will continue to be an independent company and brand within the Office & Home Interiors business area. The acquisition will result in a positive effect on earnings per share already during 2016. The management team, including the managing director and former principal owner Johan Ragnar, will remain with the company.
