LASSONDE INDUSTRIES INC. In our 2022 ESG report, we identified four priorities that will enable Lassonde to reduce its environmental footprint. One of these priorities is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. To do this, we have committed to setting science-based targets by 2025 and have joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
SBTi is an important catalyst for businesses. By joining, we are committing to keeping our reduction targets consistent with the level of reduction that climate scientists say is needed to keep global warming below 1.5 °C. Over the next 24 months, we will work to finalize our targets and submit them to the SBTi for approval. We will communicate our progress on this issue in our next ESG report.
This commitment reaffirms our recognition of the urgency to act on climate change and our desire to contribute to that collective effort.
