Lockheed Martin reports that the Greek government today signed a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) formalizing its intention to acquire 35 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters built by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, through the U.S. government's Foreign Military Sales system.

' Approved and operated by more than 35 countries, including a growing number of NATO allies, the Black Hawk multi-role helicopter offers unmatched global interoperability, significantly increasing Greece's deterrence capability and that of all NATO member countries,' commented Paul Lemmo, president of Sikorsky.

In addition to the aircraft, the purchase also includes personnel training and training equipment to ensure the smooth integration of the helicopters into the Hellenic army.
