Hospital da Luz Setúbal Team in 3rd Place on Volkswagen Race

The team from Hospital da Luz Setúbal was third in the 10 km-relay running (4 x 2.5 km), integrated in Volkswagen Race, its 8th edition taking place in the morning of last June 10, in Volkswagen Autoeuropa premises, in Palmela.

Hospital da Luz Setúbal assured, for the second consecutive year, clinical assistance to the event, having mobilized a team including a doctor and six nurses, installed in a medical centre next to the finishing-line, ready to intervene in case of medical care need. A fire brigade, an ambulance and two support vehicles placed along the track, completed the resources mobilized for assistance, under the coordination of Hospital da Luz Setúbal.

The Volkswagen Race, an initiative promoted by Volkswagen Autoeuropa, was once again a success, with 2,500 participants in the 10 km-races, the 4 km-walking and the running destined to children. Once again, Nelson Cruz was the first athlete to complete the 10 km-race, with 31 minutes and 20 seconds, and Sara Carvalho completed the same distance with 37 minutes, being the winner in the female category.
