LX International (CEO Yoon Chun-sung) announced on the 26th that it held a ceremony to award the 'ISO 27001' certificate, an international standard for information protection management systems, from the British Standards Institution(BSI) at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea on the 25th.

ISO 27001 is an international standard for information protection management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization(ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC), and is the most prestigious international certification in the field. It is verified through strict screening of a total of 114 inspection items in 14 areas related to information protection, such as information security policy, physical security, and information access control.

LX International obtained international certification after thorough preparation and evaluation such as security risk assessment and reorganization of security guidelines for about four months from January this year.

An LX International official said, "The ISO 27001 certification has been recognized as having the world's best information protection management system," adding, "By objectively recognizing that important information related to customers such as products, services, and market trends is managed stably and systematically."

LX International plans to continue to supplement and improve its information protection management system in the future to further improve the level of information management and provide the best information security environment to customer companies.

Meanwhile, LX International has maintained its own information protection management system based on consulting and inspection by external specialized institutions since 2015. Since then, the company's existing information security guidelines have been continuously revised in accordance with the revision of laws such as the Information and Communication Network Act and the Personal Information Protection Act.

In addition, security setting guidelines and operating standards have been significantly strengthened in line with the spread of Cloud computing services and mobile office use that allow IT systems to be used over the Internet without restrictions on location and time.
