SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raptor Networks Technology, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: RPTN), provider of the world's first distributed hybrid fabric network and systems architectures, reports the issuance of two new patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Patent Number 7,599,314 titled "Surface to Space Managed Network Fabric" extends Raptor's original patent position in distributed fabric network switching into fabric architectures for satellite communications and Patent Number 7,603,428 titled "Software Application Striping" further extends that reach into the striping of applications across a computational fabric.

"We are pleased to be awarded additional patents extending the applicability of our hybrid fabric systems IP Portfolio into satellite communications and into the creation of "working fabrics," that blur the distinction between a fabric as a network and a fabric as a computational engine," noted Raptor Networks Technology Chairman and CEO Tom Wittenschlaeger. "We believe the technologies we are advancing are important to how convergence will ultimately look across major, large scale systems."

About Raptor Networks Technology, Inc

Raptor Networks Technology, Inc. has invented and developed the world's first "hybrid fabric" network and systems architectures, all open-standards based, that move towards evolving network connectivity, cloud computing, virtualized storage and cyber-security into one cohesive, converged architecture. This patented family of technologies enables highly cost effective, next-generation systems that blur the distinction between a transport fabric, a computational fabric, an archival fabric or a communication fabric. One can thus turn "point solutions" such as firewalls or encryptors into "defense in depth" fabric-based solutions and eliminate traditional "point vulnerabilities" in critical applications, rendering traditional means of cyber-attack largely ineffective. Management believes that the advantage fabric architectures offer is speed over distance, enhanced network reliability, lower power consumption, reduced form factor and significant savings in both acquisition cost as well as operating expense. Raptor's fabric networking products are fully interoperable with legacy IT products.
