Manitou Gold Inc. Announces Board and Management Changes

Manitou Gold Inc. announced that Mr. Harold Tracanelli Getn, P.Geo, has been appointed as Interim President and as a director of the Corporation. Mr. Tracanelli has been actively involved as a consulting exploration geologist in the mineral exploration industry for over 30 years, including an assortment of grass roots through to intermediate and advanced precious and base metal industrial minerals projects, throughout North America. Manitou also announced that in accordance with a change in strategic direction of the Corporation, Mr. Todd Keast has ceased to act as President and Chief Executive Officer and has resigned from the Board of Directors.

The Corporation also reports that Mr. Garett Macdonald has resigned from the Board of Directors.

Manitou Gold Inc. is a Canada-based exploration company. The Company is engaged in the business of locating and exploring mineral properties. The Company's projects include Goudreau properties, Dryden project and other properties, including Canamerica property and Sherridon property. The Goudreau properties consist of approximately 22,500 hectares of consolidated prospective gold properties on the Michipicoten Archean Greenstone Belt. The Dryden project is located within the Boyer Lake Area approximately 35 kilometers (km) south of Dryden. The Canamerica property is located within the Boyer Lake Area, Turtlepond Lake Area and the Harper Lake Area, approximately 35 km south of Dryden. The Sherridon property is located within the Mang Lake Area, the Lower Manitou Lake Area, and the Meggisi Lake Area, approximately 60 km south of Dryden. It also owns an approximately 148 square kilometers land package of gold properties located in the Gold Rock District, in Northwestern Ontario (Dryden).
