McCarthy & Stone plc announced that Clive Fenton has retired as the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO"), and stepped down from the board, of the company and John Tonkiss, Chief Operating Officer of the Group, has assumed the role of Interim CEO while the formal search process to appoint a replacement CEO is concluded.

Its product ranges include Retirement Living and Retirement Living PLUS, which provide mainly one and two-bedroom apartments across the United Kingdom with varying levels of support and care for older people. Retirement Living developments provide independence in private apartments designed specifically for the over-60s, as well as facilities, such as communal lounges and guest suites that support companionship.
