McColl's opens 200th Morrisons Daily store

11 March 2022 - McColl's Retail Group plc has reached the strategic milestone of opening its 200th Morrisons Daily store with the conversion of the McColl's store at Stockport, giving local customers a fantastic range of high quality fresh food and groceries, wider product choice and better value, through new lines and Morrisons own-label.

The rollout of Morrisons Daily stores is a key component of McColl's' strategic focus on food led convenience, driving incremental sales and sales-mix improvement across the store.

The store conversion programme re-commenced in early February 2022, following a scheduled pause over the Christmas and New Year period, and so far in 2022, the Group has opened 31 Morrisons Daily stores and a further seven will be converted next week with the full support of Morrisons.

The Morrisons Daily conversions continue to deliver the strongest performance across the business, with 2-3 year payback on investment and McColl's remains on track to complete 450 Morrisons Daily store conversions by the end of FY22.
