WRIT OF SUMMONS - STATE COURTS SINGAPORE _________________________________________________________________________________

Reference is made to the announcement of Midas Holdings Limited (the "Company", and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") dated 25 May 2018 (the "Announcement"). Unless the context otherwise requires, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as those defined in the Announcement.

The board of directors (the "Board") wishes to announce that the Company and its directors have received a Writ of Summons dated 20 August 2018 from the State Courts of the Republic of Singapore in relation to alleged defamation suit by the former Executive Chairman, Mr. Chen Wei Ping ("Mr. Chen") against the Company and the directors of the Company. Mr. Chen alleged that the following announcements contained defamatory words.

The Company is seeking legal advice on this matter. The Board will issue further announcements as appropriate, as and when there are any material developments in the matter.
