MITSUI E&S : First order received in Japan for methanol-fuelled engine(G80ME-C10.5-LGIM)

MITSUI E&S Co., Ltd. (President: Takeyuki Takahashi, located in Chuo-Ku, Tokyo, hereinafter, "MITSUI E&S") has received an order from TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. (President: Sachio Okumura, located in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, hereinafter, "TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING") for the first domestic model of the Mitsui-MAN B&W 6G80ME-C10.5-LGIM-EGRTC, a methanol-fuelled engine. These four engines are scheduled to be delivered to TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING.
With this order, MITSUI E&S has received order for the Total 10 engines of methanol-fuelled from TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING, including 6 units of the G50ME-C9.6-LGIM, and this G80 model is an even larger engine (Piston bore 80 cm, Maximum continuous output: 28,260 kW (38,400 BHP) x 72 min-1 (6 cyl., L1 point)) than the previous G50ME-C9.6-LGIM. In order to meet the needs of its customers, our company has been enhancing its production facilities since fiscal 2022 in order to support the conversion of large marine engines to dual fuel, and is building an organization to provide a stable supply of dual fuel engines.
As a marine propulsion system supplier, MITSUI E&S will continue to contribute to the realization of a low-carbon and decarbonized society.
