RENO, Nev. (AP) — RENO, Nev. (AP) — Monarch Casino & Resort Inc. (MCRI) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $18.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Reno, Nevada-based company said it had net income of 93 cents.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.04 per share.

The casino operator posted revenue of $128.2 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $119.3 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $82.4 million, or $4.20 per share. Revenue was reported as $501.5 million.
