Mostotrest PJSC signed a contract for reconstruction of a bridge over the Sviyaga River in the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the project, Mostotrest will build a new bridge and rebuild the existing one at km 757 of the M-7 'Volga' Highway in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Mostotrest was the sole participant in the e-tender held by the Federal State Agency 'Federal Highway Administration of the Volga-Vyatka Region of the Federal Road Agency'. The reconstruction of the bridge is part of the project 'Construction and Reconstruction of the M-7 'Volga' Highway (Moscow - Ufa via Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan)'. The contract value is RUB4.7 billion (incl. VAT).

During the first stage of the project Mostotrest will build a new bridge and its approaches: a Category 1B road section with a total length of more than 7 km and two lanes in each direction. The new bridge will be erected parallel to the existing upstream Sviyaga bridge. The distance between the spans of the old and new bridges will be 5 meters. Following completion of the first stage of the project, the old bridge will be closed for reconstruction, and the M-7 traffic will be diverted to the new bridge. At the second stage of the project, Mostotrest will reinforce the superstructure and repair the supports of the old bridge, which was commissioned in 1996. In addition, elevated pedestrian crossings on the outskirts of the villages of Isakovo and Gavrilkovo will be erected at the locations of public transport stops. The project is scheduled for full completion in November 2023.
