MRV Communications : Metro Optical Transport Solution is Selected by BTC Broadband for its Fiber Backbone Build-out

We recently announced that BTC Broadband has chosen MRV for the strategic build out of its WDM network. BTC Broadband is a regional broadband telecommunications service provider in the State of Oklahoma. The regional provider has extensive fiber infrastructure throughout key business and residential areas in Oklahoma, including Tulsa. Looking for a solution that could further improve its fiber service offerings and enhance the quality of the end-user experience, they incorporated MRVs OptiDriver®.

OptiDriver® provides BTC Broadband with both a cost effective solution that satisfies their current bandwidth requirements while also scaling for the future. The solution also provides the ability to launch service points in every business district within its network route and expand capacity and coverage of its overall fiber network.

But not so fast - there was another key component to the WDM network built-out - MRV's, Pro-Vision® Life Cycle Service Orchestration (LSO) software. This software significantly eases network operations and provides a complete set of automated tools on its own, including planning and provisioning, to visualizing and optimizing packet and optical networks and services.
