First Columbia Bank & Trust Co., a strong, independent community bank with over 190 employees headquartered in Bloomsburg PA, seeks a part-time Deposit Operations Associate in our Bloomsburg (Lightstreet), PA office.

The selected candidate must possess proficient knowledge of computer systems relating to the data operations function, familiar with Microsoft Office programs; moderate reading, writing and grammar skills; moderate math skills; moderate keyboarding skills; good problem solving skills; good communication and interpersonal relations skills. Excellent dependability. Must be detail oriented and self-motivated. Must be comfortable working independently with no supervision.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required with preference for advanced degree/training in a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in banking and/or related background, and working with computers.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Balance various transactions, research errors, make adjusting entries and inform tellers of changes made in their transactions.
  • Perform various duties relating to deposit account and related products.
  • Inputs data on the system consistent with established procedures.
  • Scan deposit account information; ensures that all accounts are properly maintained.
  • Research and process inquiries from customers and bank personnel relating to deposit account information and related products.
  • Process deposits submitted via Mobile Banking.
  • Process outgoing cash letter.
  • Receive and pull in ACH files.
  • Send files for the system update to the Data Center.
  • Assist in the proper maintenance of all deposit account processing equipment; report malfunctions and problems to supervisor.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and promotes the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training and complying with all BSA rules and regulations as they pertain to the job position within the Bank.
  • Communicates and coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

    Hours: Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day.
    Hours may be flexible between the hours of 3:00pm-10:00pm with commitment to set schedule.
