Bankers Appointed to Statewide Committees Allentown, Pa. - July 15, 2014- National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NPBC) announced today that two of the company's executives, Tom Jordan, Lancaster Region president, and Blair Rush, Eastern Region president, have been appointed to Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) committees. Jordan will serve on the Agriculture & Rural Issues Advisory Committee. The committee communicates information to PBA banks about external agriculture and rural issues. It also responds to legislation related to agriculture continuing education programs for bankers. Rush will serve on the Direct Contact Banker and Grassroots Advocacy Committee. The committee works to build and maintain strong, positive contact relationships with their assigned members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and call upon their members in times of legislative alert.

The Pennsylvania Bankers Association, located in Harrisburg, is the state's leading banking trade association representing an expansive and diverse
