New JRC introduced the NJW4132, a current mode internal 45V MOSFET step-up switching regulator with external clock synchronizing function. March 26, 2014

Tokyo Japan, March 26, 2014 - New Japan Radio Co., Ltd. (New JRC) has introduced to the market the NJW4132, a current mode internal 45V MOSFET step-up switching regulator with external clock synchronizing function. It can operate on the switching frequency synchronizing with the external clocks. The NJW4132 has a soft-start function which provides a stably start-up of circuit and over- current and over-heat protection circuits which protect circuits at abnormality. Moreover it employs the current mode control that makes using output ceramic capacitor easy, and it has an internal phase compensation circuit requiring no complex design of phase compensation circuit. Therefore the NJW4132 is suitable for a step-up circuit of car accessory, OA equipment and industrial equipment and a power supply circuit of LED.


[Features] 1. Providing synchronizing with the external clocks

The NJW4132 can operate on the switching frequency synchronizing with the external clocks. When the switching frequency affects the reception quality of AM radio, the NJW4132 can avoid the adverse effect due to the switching frequency by synchronizing it with the external clock.
Therefore it is suitable for power supply circuits of car AV and home AV devices with AM radio, LCD display and audio system.


2. Providing a step-up switching regulator with the smaller number of external components

The NJW4132 can reduce the number of external components from eleven to seven, due to internal phase compensation circuit (compare with our conventional products with voltage mode control). It can provide a step-up switching regulator with a small number of external components.


3. Providing a wide operating voltage range (Wide Input Range Products)

The NJW4132 operates over a wide voltage range from 4.5V to 40V. Therefore it is well-suitable for maintain operation of step-up application when battery voltage is decreased by idling stop function.
