NexJ Health announced its new Healthcare Advisory Board. Richard Alvarez, former president and CEO of Canada Health Infoway, has been appointed chair and Tom Closson, former president and CEO of the Ontario Hospital Association and University Health Network, is a charter member. The advisory board will help to guide the company to deliver NexJ Connected Wellness, NexJ Health Pro and NexJ Health Coach to market.

The advisory board's role will include making recommendations on product and market positioning and facilitating healthcare industry relationships. As president and CEO of Canada Health Infoway, he was a catalyst for accelerating the development of electronic health records in Canada. Closson has held positions as president and CEO of the Ontario Hospital Association, University Health Network and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Ontario and the Capital Health Region in BC.

He also has extensive experience as a consultant and in government.
