- 11,868 new customers*) in 3rd quarter

Telio experienced very good results and increased its customer base by 11,868 net new customers in the third quarter. This represents three times the customer intake in the same period last year. Revenues in the third quarter ended at NOK 100.9 million compared to NOK 94.0 million in the year-ago quarter.

- Through increased investments in sales and marketing the company experienced a record high customer intake in the quarter and the growth comes in Norway and the Netherlands. Revenue growth was 8.7% adjusted for currency fluctuations and we are quite satisfied with this. The high customer intake contributes to future growth in revenues and profits, says Eirik Lunde, CEO of Telio Holding ASA.

Introduced new services
Telio introduced new services on mobile and fixed and mobile broadband at the beginning of 2012. With these new services Telio provides a complete and competitive service offering to both the residential and the business segment. The offering now comprises broadband telephony, fixed broadband, mobile broadband, mobile and web based switchboard. The complete service offering is the reason behind the increased growth in Norway.

Passed 200,000 customers
The strong customer growth leads to a customer base of 205,000 at the end of the quarter. The focus on the business segment in Norway continues to show promising results and the introduction of new mobile subscriptions has given substantial growth in the residential market. In total, the number of mobile subscriptions has increased by 5,500 and now totals 18,000.

Continued growth in international markets
Telio continues to grow also in the markets outside Norway. Especially, the Dutch operation has achieved strong growth and the company now has a customer base of above 65,000 subscribers in the Netherlands. Net increase in customers in the Netherlands was 6,579 in the third quarter.

Strong financial results
In the 3rd quarter 2012, the Telio Group achieved revenues of NOK 100.9 million compared to NOK 94.0 million in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA was NOK 24.0 million (24.0% EBITDA margin) compared to NOK 29.6 million (32.0 % EBITDA margin) in the same quarter last year. Operating profit ended at NOK 13.4 million compared to NOK 20.5 million in the 3rd quarter of 2011. The reduced profits are in line with the company's growth strategy. The increase in operating expenses is primarily related to increased sales and support staffing and customer acquisition. A majority of these costs are variable and directly linked to increased sales.
