North Midland Construction plc reported unaudited group earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2017. For the period, the group reported revenue of £135,134,000 against £129,580,000 a year ago. Operating profit was £1,325,000 against £623,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was £1,220,000 against £512,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was £982,000 against £476,000 a year ago. Earnings per share (basic and diluted) were 9.67 pence against 4.69 pence a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was £1,524,000 against £2,356,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was £444,000 against £477,000 a year ago.

For the year ending December 31, 2017, as a result of increased revenues emanating from both the Birmingham Resilience Project award and a robust construction market, the results are expected to be ahead of management expectations.
