The Board of Numis Corporation Plc has announced that Oliver Hemsley, founder and CEO of Numis will step down as Chief Executive during the Autumn of 2016 and will be succeeded by Alex Ham and Ross Mitchinson as joint-Chief Executive Officers. Oliver will remain on the Board as an Executive Director. The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.

In advance of their appointment as joint-Chief Executive Officers, Alex Ham and Ross Mitchinson will be appointed Executive Directors of the company with effect from 1 July 2016. Alex Ham joined Numis in August 2005 and has worked in various parts of the business until undertaking a permanent role in the Corporate Broking department. Having acted as Co-Head of Corporate Broking since July 2012, he was promoted to Head of Corporate Broking & Advisory in May 2015.

Ross Mitchinson joined Numis in October 2008 and has been Head of Numis' Equities business since May 2015. Ross held positions at UBS AG, which he joined in September 2000, working on the Pan-European Small and Mid-Cap desk until 2006 when he joined Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander before joining Numis. Alex and Ross have both been directors of the trading entity, Numis Securities Limited, since May 2012.
