HOUSTON (AP) — HOUSTON (AP) — Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $1.2 billion.

The Houston-based company said it had profit of $1.08 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 74 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 74 cents per share.

The oil and gas exploration and production company posted revenue of $7.53 billion in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $7.14 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $4.7 billion, or $3.90 per share. Revenue was reported as $28.92 billion.
