Uniting football enthusiasts in the public sector, Ooredoo has launched its first Sadaqa Tournament to drive collaboration and fun-filled competition between the company and seven participating ministries. Launched with the full support of the Ministry of Sports Affairs, the event will take place on the 28 August 2017 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bowsher, Muscat.

Ooredoo held a raffle draw under the auspices of H.H. Sayid Malak Bin Shihab Bin Tariq Al Said, to organise match-ups for the tournament in their head office last week. The indoor event will welcome teams representing the Ministry of Civil Service, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awqaf, Al Raffd Fund, the Ministry of Regional Municipality, the Ministry of Tourism and Ooredoo.

Raed Bin Mohammed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs, said, 'Our partnership with the government sector has continued to grow year-on-year thanks to joint efforts that have boosted cooperation and collaboration. The Sadaqa Tournament was inspired by the goal to continue to grow our relations and will allow all participants to create personal friendships and engage one-another in a stress-free, entertaining environment. Through this competition, we will unite spectators, teams and the organisations they represent under a shared love of the beautiful game to drive collaboration across all segments of the population. We look forward to welcoming a full house and more participants in the future.'

Spectators and football enthusiasts can follow the matches on Ooredoo's social media channels.
