Scottsdale, Ariz.- May 9, 2017-Orion Health™, a leader in population health management and healthcare integration solutions, has been granted a certificate of authority to operate as a Health Data Intermediary (HDI) by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Securing certification was in collaboration with Orion partner, Koble-MN, a Minnesota state-certified health information organization (HIO) currently implementing a Minnesota health information exchange (HIE) powered by the Orion Health Amadeus population health and precision medicine platform. Orion Health and Koble-MN work together to help communities across the state of Minnesota build robust healthcare exchanges, connecting clinical, behavioral health, payer, social determinant and other data sources necessary for person-centered care.

Chad Peterson, president and CEO of Koble-MN, said, 'We are thrilled Orion Health has completed the Minnesota HDI certification process, as we continue to work closely with our Orion Health partners to enable exchange across Minnesota, leveraging the state-of-the-art Orion Health Amadeus solution stack.'

A HDI provides technical capabilities or related products and services to enable health information exchange among health care providers that are not related health care entities such as health information service providers, electronic health record vendors, and pharmaceutical electronic data intermediaries.
