Receives 100 percent score on Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index Survey for 2nd straight year

Otis is one of the best places to work for LGBTQ Equality, according theHuman Rights Campaign, a leading U.S.-based organization for promoting LGBTQ rights.

This is the second year Otis has received the designation since becoming an independent company, and underscores our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This designation is given to companies that achieve the highest score on the Human Rights CampaignCorporate Equality Index survey, which assesses companies on their policies and practices related to LGBTQ equality.

Here is what some of our colleagues are saying:

Jim Cramer, President, Otis Americas, he/him said:

"We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition for the second year in a row. Otis launched Our Commitment to Change framework in 2020 to create a more inclusive and diverse culture across our organization. Participating in opportunities like the Corporate Equality Index are important components of this framework. The Index allows us to evaluate how our policies and practices impact LGBTQ equality using a transparent, thorough and measurable process.

"I am proud of our team's effort to promote equality for all people. There is nothing more important to me and our entire organization than our colleagues feeling safe to bring their whole selves to work."

Alecia Smith, director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, she/her said:

"This recognition from the Human Rights Campaign reaffirms our leaders' commitment to policies and actions that reflect our values. While we still have work to do in the U.S. and around the world, this recognition inspires us to continue our efforts to create a work environment where all voices feel safe, welcomed and heard, because our diversity is our strength."

Alexandra von Klan, Chair of the Otis PRIDE Employee Resource Group and Modernization Project Manager in San Francisco, she/her said:
"In building our LGBTQ+ community, we have seen first-hand that bringing your authentic self to work in the construction and building trades can require courageand grit. I look forward to continuing our inclusiveness journey."
