P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc. Announces Management Changes

On August 4, 2020, the Board of Directors of P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc. appointed Joseph A. Vitiritto to serve as the Company's Chief Executive Officer beginning August 18, 2020. Mr. Vitiritto succeeds the Company's former President and Chief Executive Officer, Daniel H. Cushman, who retired effective May 1, 2020, and Matthew T. Moroun, who has served as interim CEO since May 1, 2020. Mr. Moroun will remain as Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Vitiritto has served as Senior Vice President of Pricing and Network Design for Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings, Inc. since May 2019. Prior to assuming that role, Mr. Vitiritto served in various managerial capacities for Knight-Swift and its predecessor, Knight Transportation, Inc., beginning in 2003, including most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations - Swift Transition Team and Senior Vice President of Human Resources. He has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry. Mr. Vitiritto's significant operational experience and expertise in the transportation industry and future knowledge of the day-to-day management of the Company will bring valuable insight to the Company's Board of Directors.
P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc. is a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in providing truckload dry van carrier services transporting general commodities throughout the continental United States, as well as in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The Companyâs subsidiaries also provide transportation services in Mexico through its gateways in Laredo and El Paso, Texas, under agreements with Mexican carriers. Its freight consists primarily of automotive parts, expedited goods, consumer goods, such as general retail store merchandise, and manufactured goods. Its truckload services are performed by Company divisions that generally utilize Company-owned trucks, long-term contractors, or single-trip contractors to transport loads of freight for customers, while its brokerage and logistics services coordinate or facilitate the transport of loads of freight for customers and generally involve the utilization of single-trip contractors.
