On Dec. 4, PG&E launched its Fall 2023 Green Tariff Shared Renewables Requests for Offers (GTSR RFOs) in which it seeks to procure 176.15 megawatts of new, in-front-of-the-meter solar power. Eligible project size is between 0.5 and 20 MW each.

The GTSR program includes two sister programs: Solar Choice (SC) and Regional Renewable Choice (RRC). Solar Choice projects have a Dec. 31, 2028 online date; Regional Renewable Choice projects have an on-line date of 36 months following contract execution. For detailed information, visit Fall 2023 Solar Choice RFO and Fall 2023 Regional Renewable Choice RFO .

The projects will be built at various locations within the company's service area and will directly support growth of PG&E's Community Renewable Programs. The Solar Choice program offer customers an easy way to go solar without installing rooftop solar panels.

Through the program, customers can purchase either 50% or 100% of their electricity from a solar project generating power in Central and Northern California.

The Regional Renewable Choice program enables customers to subscribe to renewable energy from a specific community-based project within PG&E's service area.

These new projects will directly contribute to the continued growth of PG&E's renewable energy customer programs - which have experienced steadily increasing customer enrollment over the past few years - while at the same time serving the planet and California's prosperity.

Projects developed through PG&E's renewable energy customer programs, such as Solar Choice, are in addition to requirements under California's Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS).

Customer participation in these programs directly supports newly developed renewable clean energy on the electric grid.
