Palantir Technologies Inc. on Tuesday said it expanded a partnership with South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Group by bringing Palantir Foundry to additional companies within the conglomerate.
The data-mining company said Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering's subsidiaries, Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, and Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, will use the Foundry operating system to make data-driven decisions focused especially on safety and operating efficiency.
The expanded partnership builds on a January agreement to use Foundry. Palantir said Foundry is used by Hyundai Oilbank and Hyundai Doosan Infracore.
Palantir said the expansion is valued at $20 million over five years, bringing the contracts' total value to $45 million over five years.
