Partners Group has strengthened its real estate team with the addition of two senior hires. Henrik Orrbeck has been appointed as co-head of real estate Europe and Stephen McCall has joined the company as global head of platforms and opcos, both based in London. Orrbeck joins from EQT, where he was a partner and founding member of the firm?s real estate business.

Prior to that, he spent nearly 10 years at Carlyle, rising to director for the Nordics. At Partners Group, he will work alongside Anne-Jan Jager, the managing director within the team. Meanwhile, McCall will be responsible for overseeing the firm?s strategy for investing in real estate management teams and operating companies as the firm seeks exposure to the full value chain in real estate investing, from sourcing through to managing and exiting an asset.

McCall was previously chief executive at Edyn Group, a hybrid hospitality platform owned by Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to that, he spent nearly 17 years at IHG, most recently as chief operating officer for Europe. McCall will start in February, while Orrbeck will join the firm in March.

The appointments follow shortly after Partners Group hired Karim Habra as global co-head of real estate to work alongside Mike Bryant.
