Phoenix appoints leading Strategic Sales and Account Manager to Business Continuity team

Phoenix, a leading UK provider of essential business continuity and IT managed services, today announces the appointment of Peter Beswick as a Strategic Sales and Account Manager in its Business Continuity team. Based in Manchester, Peter will cover Phoenix's strategic clients based in the North of England and the Midlands, as well as focussing on new business origination in those regions.

Peter joins Phoenix from SunGard, another provider of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity services, where he spent 15 years and consistently delivered strong sales figures. At SunGard, Peter held the position of Strategic Accounts Manager, where he was responsible for managing large accounts across both the public and private sectors, including some of the largest banking and finance sector clients.

Peter has extensive experience in technology sales, having worked in the sector for nearly his entire, thirty-year career. Prior to SunGard, Peter spent 15 years working for Pitney Bowes where he also consistently achieved top salesman status.

Commenting on Peter's appointment, Mike Osborne, Head of Phoenix's Business Continuity division, said "We are very excited to have Peter joining the Phoenix team. Throughout his career he has developed a wealth of industry and leadership experience, and has a proven track record in working collaboratively with customers and consequently achieving great sales success. He will be focusing on deepening existing relationships with our North of England and Midlands based clients, as well as helping to identify and advise new customers who are looking to enhance their dated Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans in order to improve their preparedness and resilience in the face of a disruptive event."

Peter Beswick said, "Phoenix is one of the biggest names in the IT industry and I am delighted to be joining a company that enables me to offer customers diverse, additional services that I have not had the opportunity to before. I believe that Phoenix's proposition for resilient solutions is unique and there is major potential to cross-sell these services to existing BC clients, as well as attract new ones in the North of England and Midlands. Phoenix genuinely seems to be an easy company to do business with, highly capable technically and is a business of impressive scale, with one of the largest network of recovery and datacentres of any provider in the UK. I am looking forward to getting started."
