PLT energia : brings new wind farm of 60 MW online

With an installed capacity of 60 MW, Tursi-Colobraro (MT) wind farm is able to generate more than 138 GWh per year.

Cesena, May 5th, 2017 - PLT energia S.p.A., an Italian industrial holding company operating in the field of renewable energies market, announces that Tursi-Colobraro wind farm, of 60 MW of installed capacity, is operative.

Pierluigi Tortora, PLT energia CEO, commented: 'Through the commissioning of this plant, the Group installed capacity reach 134 MW. It is one of the biggest installed wind farm since the Decree that decided upon the auction procedure became law - continues Pierluigi Tortora - and we have realized and brought online the wind farm in only 18 months thanks to the committment of our collaborators, suppliers and contractors who worked with high professionalism and dedication. The reliability and expertise of PLT engineering S.r.l. as E&C contractor, of turbines supplier, Senvion, of Siemens in relation to the electrical sub-station and of Terna S.p.A. have made this important result possible. The investment, with a project financing structure, involved a banking pool consisting of BPER Banca, as agent bank, BPM, ICCREA and Credito Valtellinese'.

The plant is composed of 30 Senvion wind turbines, of about 2 MW each and will produce electric energy for more than 138 GWh a year, satisfying the energetic demand of 55 thousand families and avoiding the atmospheric emission of more than 65.000 tCO2eq. a year.

The overall investment has been equal to about 90 million Euro and it is expected to bring additional yearly revenues of 12,5 million Euro, with an EBITDA increase of 9,5 million Euro.
