Extending OTN to the router enables a single management layer between optical transport and routing networks, resulting in lower operating costs and improved service availability for network operators. META-240G provides ultra-low latency OTN encryption for secure cloud connectivity, and it consumes 50 percent less power per port than the previous generation, enabling router line card capacities of 1Tbps and higher.

META-240G Enables Secure Optical Links

As enterprises migrate their workloads to the cloud, there is an increasing need for secure inter-data center connectivity. Securing fiber connections with OTN guarantees 100 percent throughput with ultra-low latency regardless of packet traffic size. META-240G delivers multi-rate, sub-180ns latency OTN encryption, allowing network operators to ensure security without compromising performance.
