PubliGroupe sells its participation in Südostschweiz Presse und Print AG
Lausanne, 20 November 2014 - PubliGroupe, its owner Swisscom and Somedia AG have agreed to sell PubliGroupe's 20 percent participation in Südostschweiz Presse und Print AG (SOPR) to the existing majority shareholder Somedia AG in Chur. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the purchase price.
The sale of the holding in SOPR is the outcome of PubliGroupe's strategic reorientation, which began prior to the purchase of PubliGroupe by Swisscom and continues to be implemented in consultation with the new owner. PubliGroupe was a shareholder in SOPR for 18 years.
SOPR is the press and publishing company of Somedia. It publishes various daily and weekly newspapers ("Südostschweiz", "Bündner Tagblatt" etc.) and includes a commercial printing division as well as book and magazine publishing operations with multiple locations in southeastern Switzerland.
