Pulaski Bank Wins BBB TORCH Award

St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 17, 2015 - Pulaski Bankis among 11 businesses and two charities who will receive TORCH Awards from Better Business Bureau(BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois at noon Friday, Nov. 13, at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis.
"Pulaski Bank began in 1922 as a place ordinary people could go to get credit without being intimidated," says W. Thomas Reeves, president of the bank. Originally based in a Polish community northwest of downtown, the bank has kept its focus on retail customers
as well as small and medium-sized businesses as it grew to 13 bank branches sprinkled across the St. Louis area, with loan offices in Kansas City, Southwest and Mid-Missouri; Wichita and Lawrence, Kans.; Omaha, Nebr., Council Bluffs, Iowa and Chicago.
"We‟re large enough to matter to St Louis, but we‟re small enough to care," Reeves
said. Pulaski won a TORCH Award from Better Business Bureau in 2008, and Reeves previously served on BBB‟s board.
Businesses and charities who apply for the TORCH Awards are evaluated for their commitment to customer service through exceptional standards for ethical business practices. A committee of previous winners chooses the award winners.
Tim Barklage and Kevin Tibbs, co-founders of St. Louis-based Better Life, will be the keynote speakers. Better Life, which was featured on the "Shark Tank‟ television show, produces a line of environmentally friendly cleaning products.
Nichole Berlie, anchor of KSDK Channel 5‟s Today in St. Louis, will emcee the event.
The TORCH Awards luncheonis at noon Friday, Nov. 13, in the Khorassan Room at the
Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $60 a person, or $600 for a table of 10. Patron sponsorships, which include luncheon tickets, are available for $1,500.
