Effortless control of up to 9 different StarPack laser systems

ROFIN has been pioneering laser systems for packing optimizationsince the very beginning which led to a world-wide installation base of more than 190 systems today. From now on, the laser manufacturer ships all its StarPack systems, whether they are cross-web, webdirection or customer-tailored, with a newly-designed control software. The new StarFlex release controls up to 9 different StarPack systems within one, clearly arranged user interface.

More flexible processing, shorter setup times

Packaging converters are facing acontinuously growing range of product packagings. Flexible foil processing solutions, which allow for minimum setup times, became a prerequisite for cost-effective manufacturing, especially with frequently changing production jobs. ROFIN's new software incorporates all required control modules and editors for designing scribing orperforation layouts. The cross-web control module even handles web-direction layouts, which makes it possible to process moderate web-direction jobs on a StarPack CW system.

The new jog function for adjusting focus and scanner axes is a realtime-saver. It allows fine tuning focus and layout positioning on-the-fly during the winder start-up. Optimizing the process settings no longer requires repetitive stops and restarts. Furthermore, the new StarFlex release features a full-fledged user administration with four, individually customizable user levels. This greatly reduces the risk of operating errors and increases production safety.

Well-equipped application lab for evaluation and process design

ROFIN's packaging line-up is completed by StarMAP, the solution for optimizing Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) films, and VisionPerfoControl, the unique real-time monitoring system for hole diameter and percentage roundness. The well-equipped application lab with in-house winders is available for customer-driven evaluation and application design at any time.
