Rosseti Public Joint Stock : Group Created a Competence Center for the Development of Technologies for Energy Storage Systems and Smart Grids

The center was formed on the basis of the subsidiary company - "Rosseti Scientific and Technical Center" (FTC, JSC) to update the policy of using energy storage systems and elements of active-adaptive distribution networks of the traditional and new technological paradigm, creating a methodology for technical-economic assessment of the use of ESS, support of practical implementation of these technologies in the power grid.

The center's task include, among other things:

- Development and updating of existing standards of different levels of legislative initiatives and rules in terms of storage devices and elements of active-adaptive distribution networks.
- Preparation of recommendations for the localization of the production of high-tech equipment and components.
- Monitoring the level of localization of production in the areas of storage devices and elements of smart grids.
- Development of programs and methods for testing storage devices and smart power grids, conducting complex and functional research of new technologies and their components.
